About Texas Nursing Home Guide

Independent information for Texas families

Texas Nursing Home Guide exists to help people make informed decisions about nursing-home care. Choosing care for yourself or someone you love can be difficult and urgent. Families deserve clear access to public information about ratings, inspections, staffing, ownership and penalties without having to interpret multiple government files.

Our people-first commitment: the needs, safety and dignity of residents and their families guide how we present information. Commercial relationships do not alter facility ratings, inspection records, directory ordering or data comparisons. Public-interest information must remain separate from advertising and lead-generation activity.

Who operates this website

Texas Nursing Home Guide is operated and published by AvW Consulting sro, a data analysis and publishing company based in Slovakia.

What we do

We collect public nursing-home datasets from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, select Texas facilities, validate the records, and organize the results into searchable facility and county pages. Our goal is to make official information easier to find, understand and compare while preserving its source and reporting date.

What independence means here

We do not accept facility payments to change CMS data, raise a facility's position, remove a public CMS indicator or influence a comparison. Any attorney advertising or case-review service is kept separate from the nursing-home data and is explained in our Advertising & Attorney Disclosure.

What this website cannot decide

No rating or directory can determine which facility is right for a particular person. Current care needs, location, services, accessibility, family visits and direct observation also matter. Use this site with the official Medicare Care Compare record, facility visits and advice from appropriate professionals.

How the data works

Our Data & Methodology page identifies the CMS datasets, explains monthly updates and calculations, and describes important limitations.
